British Touring Car Championship champion Tom Ingram will participate in the Super Touring Power event at Brands Hatch for the first time. Instead of competing in the Super Touring races, he will race a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 in the Group A events. Ingram has been given the opportunity to drive the Sierra with the iconic Benson & Hedges livery, which is usually associated with the Australian Touring Car Championship. This weekend off from battling his BTCC rival Ash Sutton will see Ingram behind the wheel of a car typically sporting ‘Sutton’ in the rear window. This experience will allow Ingram to explore Group A machinery for the first time and add to his tin-top racing skills. The event will also feature other star drivers from the 1990s era, including Australian Charlie Cox as a special guest.
